This includes osteoarthritis, tendon injuries such as tennis elbow and Achilles tendinopathy, rotator cuff problems, plantar fasciitis, disc-related back pain and chronic sports injuries.

    In many cases, yes. Non-surgical options such as PRP therapy may be considered after assessment. PRP should not be presented as a proven way to prevent surgery or as a substitute for surgery when indicated, and suitability always depends on the individual case.

    The right protocol depends on the joint involved, the severity of the damage, your age, activity level and treatment goals. Dr. Arvin Yarollahi reviews your history and any scans during a free video consultation and then recommends the most appropriate pathway.

    Recent imaging is helpful because it allows us to confirm the diagnosis and grade the condition before recommending a treatment. If you do not have a recent scan, we can arrange diagnostic imaging in Marbella, including MRI, as part of your assessment.

    Most procedures are performed in clinic under local anaesthetic where needed. A PRP session typically takes around 30 minutes from arrival to leaving. Mild soreness in the treated area for a few days afterwards is common and usually settles on its own.

    There is no surgical downtime. Most patients walk out and resume light daily activity the same day. Return to sport is usually gradual over a few weeks and depends on the joint treated and the severity of the condition. We provide individual aftercare guidance for every patient.

    Some conditions respond well to a single session, while degenerative joint conditions often benefit from a course of two or three sessions spaced a few weeks apart. Your recommended plan is discussed and priced before you commit to anything.

    Response and timing vary by diagnosis and individual. Improvement, if it occurs, may develop over weeks or months; some patients do not experience meaningful benefit. Your clinician will discuss expectations and follow-up.

    Yes. If pain affects several areas, for example both knees or a knee and a hip, these can often be addressed within the same visit or combined into a single protocol. This is particularly useful for patients travelling to Marbella for treatment.

    Age alone is not a barrier and we treat patients well into their seventies and eighties. Very advanced end-stage joint destruction responds less predictably, and in those cases we will tell you honestly if we do not believe treatment is likely to help.
