    Do I need to travel before knowing if I am a candidate?

    No. The free video consultation happens first, remotely. Dr Yarollahi reviews your history, symptoms and any imaging you already have, and only then is a visit discussed.

    This means you can explore private knee treatment abroad without committing to flights or hotels. If a visit makes sense, the clinic helps you plan it around your own dates. If another approach suits you better, you will be told so clearly.

    Most treatments are completed in a single visit. Many patients travel in and out the same day, though staying a night is often more comfortable. The clinic will plan your appointments around your travel dates.

    Why Arthrosamid suits patients travelling from abroad

    Arthrosamid®, a non-biodegradable injectable hydrogel used in the management of symptomatic knee osteoarthritis, is given as a single intra-articular injection in one appointment. It is designed as a one-visit procedure, which makes it well suited to patients looking for knee treatment in Spain.

    The appointment is performed by Dr Yarollahi following medical assessment. Your imaging is reviewed, the knee is cleaned, a local anaesthetic is applied and the hydrogel is injected into the joint space, with imaging guidance where appropriate. The appointment usually takes around 30 minutes in total.

    For some patients it may be considered as an alternative to knee replacement abroad, and it may reduce or delay the need for surgery. It is supported by clinical evidence, results vary between individuals and suitability is assessed individually.     PRP therapy for travelling patients

    PRP therapy fits easily into a trip. The whole process from blood draw to injection takes around 30 minutes, performed in a single appointment with no general anaesthetic and no overnight stay.

    You can fly in, have treatment and continue your trip or return home the same or next day. Any further sessions are planned around your own schedule and travel plans during the consultation, making PRP therapy abroad a practical option for joint and tendon conditions.

    Getting from Málaga airport

    There are direct flights to Málaga from most UK and Irish cities in under three hours, and direct from Stockholm in around four hours. From the airport, the clinic in Nueva Andalucía is about 40 minutes by road.

    A private transfer from the airport can be arranged through a local transport partner. Transfers are billed separately from treatment.
